Session 2Wednesday evenings:  July 15, 22, 29, August 5, 12

The latest from Sail NS (Friday, June 19, 2020)

People can now gather in groups of up to 10 without physical distancing. People in a group are not required to be exclusive but they are strongly encouraged to maintain a consistent group. This is especially important for Nova Scotians who are more at risk of complications from COVID-19. This change replaces the concept of family household bubbles.

What it means for our clubs and programs:

I run Sail Canada and RYA courses on my keelboat. Can I deliver the programs now without having to physically distance from my students?
YES. But given the restriction on no overnight summer camps, it is our interpretation that live aboard courses are not permitted.

We have a 420 program. Can friends sail together now?
YES. Kids can sail with their friends.

None of my regular racing crew is in my bubble. Can we sail together now?
YES, just no more than 10 on a boat!

Friends are coming to NS soon to visit from another province. Do they need to self-isolate for 14 days?
YES, however, the Premier announced if all goes well that will be removed the 3rd week of July.

Please remember that the public health measures regarding good hygiene and regular cleaning of high contact surfaces remain in effect.

Cheers!
Frank
