Opti Jam at Chester Yacht Club

Opti Jam is a Green Regatta, focused on fun, learning, and building sailing skills. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we will not be providing bottled water. Instead, a water-filling station will be available on-site. All participants are asked to bring a reusable water bottle.

This regatta is designed to help young sailors develop confidence on the water in a positive and supportive environment.

Fleet Divisions:

Green Fleet – For sailors new to racing who have participated in one regatta or less.
Intermediate Fleet – For sailors with some racing experience but not yet racing competitively.
Advanced Fleet – For competitive sailors.

Race Committees, with input from coaches, may move sailors to the fleet best suited to their skill level.

What Your Sailor Should Bring:

• Plenty of food (lunch and snacks)

• A whistle

• Refillable water bottle

• PFD (Personal Flotation Device)

• Hat and sunscreen
