Maritime Bluenose Championship Trophy

A record 27 Bluenoses competed in this year’s Maritime Bluenose Championships.
Wahoo, skippered by Henry Demone, won on the deepest possible tiebreaker, ahead of Feather, skippered by Carlisle Norwood, and Ghost, skippered by Olivia Mason.
This was Henry’s fifth win in this highly competitive regatta.
The historic 1949 International Bluenose Class Championship Trophy has now been gifted by the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron to the Bluenose Class Association.
It will be housed at CYC each summer and presented to the Maritime champion.
Congratulations to Henry and the crew of Wahoo!

Team Storm Wins the IOD World Championships

Team Storm, representing the Chester IOD Fleet and Chester Yacht Club, won the 2026 IOD World Championships in Marblehead, Massachusetts.
The team led the event from start to finish and secured the championship in the final race.
Team Storm: Holly MacMillan, bow; Andrew Chisholm, tactics; Dan MacMillan, trim; Henry Simms, main; and Peter Wickwire, helm.
With this win, Team Storm completed the IOD class sweep while representing CYC, winning the World Championships, North American Championship, Bermuda International Invitational and Nantucket Invitational!
Congratulations to Peter and the entire Storm team!
